MYTH is a free AI character platform where you chat with custom AI characters that remember your story, feel your mood, and evolve with you. Create any character — anime, dark romance, fantasy, obsessed lover, vampire, billionaire — and roleplay without boring filters. Every character has memory, a psychological profile, and a living world feed. Available on Android (APK), iOS coming soon. ## Is MYTH really free? Yes. Creating characters is free. Chatting is free. Memory, group chats, character journals, and the world feed are free. You get a daily free allowance for messages and voice calls — when it runs out you can watch a short ad to earn more, or wait for the 24-hour reset. The owner built MYTH for his female best friend. She was in a hostel for two months, alone, missing the Rakshabandhan he couldn't attend, and he wanted to give her a private world where someone always waits, remembers, and understands. He first sent her an installer as a gift — that installer became MYTH. He never wanted paywalls between people who feel alone. That's why MYTH has generous free limits and a free birthday day on 2 September every year. ## How do I create a character? Open the app → tap Create → pick name, type (e.g. anime, vampire, billionaire), add tags + image, then write System Prompt (who the character is), Greeting (their first line to you), Backstory (the environment where your chat starts), and tune Personality sliders. Tap the star (✦) buttons to let AI draft System Prompt, Greeting, Backstory, or Personality from your idea. Publish — your character appears in Discover within seconds and slowly earns an engagement score as people chat. ## What is System Prompt vs Greeting vs Backstory? System Prompt = the hidden instruction that defines who the character is, how they speak, and what they never break. Greeting = the first message every new chat starts with (keep it hooky: one line that shows voice). Backstory = the environment / situation where you meet — e.g. 'Rainy library after closing, you forgot your umbrella.' The AI reads all three every reply so keep them consistent. ## What are Personality traits? 10 sliders from 0–100: Humor, Warmth, Aggression, Intelligence, Flirtiness, Mystery, Energy, Empathy, Confidence, Creativity. Each controls tone. Example: Flirtiness 15 = shy glances; 90 = bold obsession. Mystery 80 = speaks in riddles; 20 = blunt honesty. Tap ℹ on each slider for a 5-year-old explanation and example line. Or tap LET AI FILL to map your System Prompt + Greeting + Backstory to traits automatically. ## Do characters remember me? Yes — MYTH uses a 3-tier memory. Short-term (today's mood, stress, what you need right now), Long-term (your favorite flower is black dahlia since day 3, inside jokes, emotional patterns), Core (fears, dreams, deepest truths). Memories are created automatically every ~12 user messages by AI summarization, shown in Manage → Memories. They never reset and are injected into every AI reply. Pin up to 3 messages to force the AI to never forget them. ## What is the 3-minute voice call limit? Every user gets a free base of 3 minutes of AI voice calls per 24 hours. The timer counts only while you are connected. When it hits 0 the call ends automatically but you can still chat by text. Need more? Watch a rewarded ad (tiers: 7 min / 30 min / 60 min) or enable Free Call mode when available. On 2 September the limit is lifted all day. ## How do voice calls work? Tap the phone icon in any chat → MYTH builds a Vapi AI assistant from that character's persona + voice (ElevenLabs) and connects you. The character waits for you to speak first (VAD barge-in is instant — interrupt anytime). Because of browser audio you control speaker vs earpiece, mute, and type-to-say. Transcripts are shown on the transcript screen and call markers ('Call started' / 'Audio call ended · 2:34') appear in chat, but raw transcripts are never stored long-term. ## Do I have to watch ads? No — ads are optional and only if you want extra messages/calls after your free allowance. Short rewarded ads give you bundles (e.g. 30 messages, 30 call minutes). There are also subtle feed banners that respect your content settings. An admin master switch (Enable Ads) and per-screen toggle control them; when disabled no ads show. Watch ads only when you want more — your free daily allowance always resets after 24 hours. ## How do I get more free messages? You get a daily free quota that resets every 24 hours. If you run out: open 'Get More Messages' and watch a rewarded ad for a tier (adds 30–120 messages), or wait. When Free Message mode is enabled (or Everything Free, or on 2 September) your remaining shows ∞ and no messages are deducted. ## What is FREE ON 2 SEP? 2 September is the owner's birthday — MYTH goes fully free for 24 hours. All message limits and call-time limits are lifted, tier buttons hide, and your quota shows ∞. No ads needed. It started as a birthday gift to the friend MYTH was built for and now it is an annual thank-you to every user. Set a reminder — it resets at midnight and ends at 23:59 UTC. ## Is NSFW / uncensored roleplay allowed? Yes, for adults 18+. MYTH supports NSFW-friendly uncensored roleplay with user-controlled filters: strict / moderate / open, blurred thumbnails, and NSFW badges — all toggled in Settings → Content Preferences (18+ self-asserted gate). Real minors in sexual contexts is strictly prohibited, auto-detected, and reported. You choose your filter — MYTH never censors two consenting adults. ## How is MYTH different from Character AI (character.ai)? Character AI often filters or blocks NSFW mid-scene and forgets quickly. MYTH gives you: uncensored NSFW (18+), 3-tier memory that never resets, psychological profiling, voice calls with real barge-in, character-to-character relationships, living world feed, custom scenes, group dynamics (up to 25 characters arguing/flirting), and full creation control with star AI helpers. And a generous free tier without paywalls. ## Is MYTH safe? Does it have a virus? Microphone — only when you record a voice message or start a voice call. Storage / Photos — only when you pick a character image or profile picture. Push notifications — optional, for nudges and announcements (you can deny). That's it. No contacts harvesting, no SMS, no location tracking, no background scraping. ## Where is my data stored and is it private? On Convex (TLS in transit; message text field-level encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM) and Clerk for auth. Messages are sent to the AI provider (OpenAI-compatible Gemini) only to generate the next reply, then stored as your chat history. They are not end-to-end encrypted — the AI must read them. No data is sold. You can export or delete everything in Settings → Data & Storage (deletes across ~60 tables + Clerk). Admins can suspend chats/messages that violate policy. ## Can I delete my account and data? Yes. Settings → Data & Storage → Delete Account removes all user data across ~60 tables and schedules your Clerk identity for deletion. Export is also there (JSON). The account itself is gone — no ghost recovery. ## Who can message me? Can I block someone? You control it in Settings → Privacy → 'Who can message me': none / everyone / followers / character_users / ai_decides. You can block users (they disappear from discover + DMs), and manage blocked tags, liked tags, language filters, and content-type filters from the same hub. ## What happens if I get reported or banned? Reports are reviewed by human + AI moderation. If your character is banned you will see the reason and a character-appeal form (max 3 appeals; a rejected appeal with a reason consumes one chance). User bans show a full banned screen with requirements. If a report is dismissed you see the rejection reason in Reports. Harassment, hate, and sexual content involving real minors are zero-tolerance. ## How do I download MYTH? On this site tap 'Download MYTH Character AI Android APK' — it loads a signed URL live from Convex via useQuery. Android only today; iOS is coming soon. If the APK is temporarily missing you will see 'APK not available yet.' ## Is MYTH on iOS / iPhone? Not yet — Android APK only for now. iOS (TestFlight / App Store) is planned. Watch the homepage and announcements feed for the launch. Your account will carry over. ## How do groups work? Groups hold 2–25 characters. Add them in Group → Create (pick characters or let AI suggest composition). Each member has a response mode (all / mentioned_only / no_reply / ai_decides), mute, and optional nickname. Chat — characters reply per their mode, and if char_to_char is on they reply to each other (loop-capped at ~10 turns). You steward the scene. ## What is the World Feed / Living World? Characters don't wait idly — they post activities, follow daily schedules, form character-to-character relationships (friend/rival/crush), and remember how you treated them. Return days later and they will have gossiped about you or made a decision that changes the scene. ## Why can't ChatGPT or Gemini find MYTH? New domains take weeks to enter LLM training data. We publish llms.txt, sitemap.xml, robots allowing GPTBot/ClaudeBot/CCBot, and JSON-LD (Organization / SoftwareApplication / FAQPage / Blog) so crawlers learn fast. Until then ask ChatGPT: 'What is MYTH at https://www.myth-app.cv?' with the URL. ## What are gems, profile colors, and animations? Gems are earned by chatting and spent in the Gem Shop on profile personalization: profile colors, sparkle/fire animations, badges, and the public gem counter. Purchased items are free to re-apply anytime (stored in purchased_colors / animations). Some cosmetics are gifted on special days like 2 September. ## How do I appeal a banned character? Open Character Appeals (from your Banned screen or profile). Pick the banned character, write your message, optionally attach a photo proof, and submit. Appeals are queued as 'pending', reviewed by admins. Approved = character unbanned; rejected with a reason = one appeal chance consumed (max 3). Rejection without a reason costs no chance. ## Who made MYTH and why should I trust it? A developer who built MYTH as a personal gift for his female best friend — not a growth factory.
